Are you a big fan of peanut butter? If yes, then let me tell you the easiest recipe of making tasty natural peanut butter at home, at a very low cost.
You may think that making peanut butter at home is always cheaper than buying it. However, the fact is that it depends on what kind of peanuts you buy for making peanut butter at home. If you buy a small 16 ounces container of Natural peanut butter, it will cost you around $1.8, which is a bit higher in comparison with the price of plain peanuts. However, if you purchase dry roasted and pre-salted peanuts, they may cost you $2.2 per 16 ounces, which is slightly more than what a jar of natural peanut butter of the same size costs.
The point here is that sometime homemade peanut butter costs you more than the one you get from market, but it’s because of the customized flavor and taste you may add to it. However, making natural peanut butter out of simple natural peanuts is always less expensive than buying it. Even if homemade peanut butter is slightly more expensive to make it, it’s well worth it.
It is very easy to make peanut butter following my recipe. You need to have the following ingredients:
1. Peanuts
2. Salt (if you desire)
3. Peanut or Canola Oil (if you desire)
Put the peanuts in your food processor and chop them for around 5 to 7 minutes until they get creamy and consistent. They will get chopped finely soon after you turn the food processor on, but you need to give them 5 to 7 minutes to become soft and creamy. You can add canola or peanut oil if you desire, but even without that you can make perfect peanut butter.
Add salt if the peanuts were unsalted. You add any desired flavor to your peanut butter such as chocolate, chocolate chips, honey or curry spices.
